Island, British Columbia, Canada
|
|
 |
$2,250,000
A VERY COMPLETE & PRIVATE ISLAND ESTATE &
INN |
|
|
|
|
This 164-acre island estate is located on
central Lasqueti Island. The property has numerous
great features one of which is a private 12-acre lake
(Lambert Lake). This property along with its substantial
improvements provides for a diversified array of natural
features and man made improvements.
Its central location offers total privacy in a picturesque
natural setting complemented with all of the creature
comforts one would require.
|
|
Most of the 164 acres has been left in its
natural state with the exception of approximately
10 acres on the east shore of the lake, which has
been developed for residential and recreational purposes.
This property could work well for a number of applications,
aside from being just a fabulous private retreat with
the current improvements and the ability to develop
further, this property would be ideal for a group
purchase, as a corporate retreat, or developed into
any number of specialized retreat applications.
|
|
|
|
This offer for sale is all-inclusive with the exception
of some personal and family items. Everything required
to keep this place fully functional will stay.
This includes furnishings in all three buildings,
equipment such as vehicles, tractor, and attachments,
heavy and light duty equipment such as mowers, rototillers,
pumps, and a fully equipped shop plus all recreational
equipment.
|
|
The land itself has a diversified mixed topography,
most of which is in its natural state and includes everything
from flatlands to mountainous areas. The entire acreage
is heavily forested with a variety of mature conifers
such as fir, cedar, spruce, and hemlock. Without question
one of the premier features of this property is the
12-acre private lake, which provides for an abundant
water supply as well as excellent recreational and relaxation
activities. |
|
|
An extraordinary amount of time and talent has been
spent creating this truly unique and one of a kind
property. A large portion of the materials used to
construct the buildings were in fact taken from the
land and milled on site. The work of local craftsmen
and artisans provide special features throughout that
will likely never be replicated. This, in addition
to the unique little classic and/or antique items
and fixtures that have been incorporated into the
construction all add to the character.
There is an extensive infrastructure system in place
to service all the improvements on the property. These
include an integrated electrical system powered by
diesel generators, water powered turbine, and solar
panels all tied into an inverter system and a bank
of deep cycle batteries. Propane is also used and
plumbed throughout to service appliances, water heaters,
and space heaters. There are adequate storage facilities
for diesel and gasoline. Domestic water comes from
the lake where it is pumped up to a large reservoir
that holds approximately 9000 gallons which then gravity
feeds down to all of the buildings.
Road access to the property is from Lake Rd where
the entrance is secured by a large privacy fence and
gate. When you enter through the gates the first building
you come to, is the Gate House. This is a substantial
building with a footprint of over 6000 sq. ft. and
a drive through breezeway. Total useable area within
this building is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. This
building accommodates everything from workshop and
storage area to a deluxe self-contained suite, a large
games/conference room, additional sleeping and living
areas, as well as space for future development.
Beyond the Gate House is the primary residence. This
one of a kind custom designed and crafted home offers
2000 sq. ft. of very comfortable and unique living
space, with over 4000 sq. ft. of deck area all of
which overlooks the lake and the manicured grounds.

been done with respect to the landscaping.

is a two-story building, which offers 550 sq. ft.
of living and recreational space on the main floor,
with expansive decks that lead out to and are directly
incorporated into the dock. There is an additional
