A Truly Outstanding Coastal Property.

An excellent opportunity to acquire a jewel of a coastal property. Definitely an exceptional location for a private wilderness retreat or a one of a kind destination wilderness resort that could accommodate almost any type of application you can think of.

The property has a long history with the current owners. If you look carefully you can find the remains of the old homestead towards the west between the two streams. Over towards the eastern shoreline stands an A-frame cabin that does need a little TLC, however could be made useable with a little work. Surrounding this cabin is the old orchard that used to have approximately 20 fruit trees.

There are very few privately owned oceanfront properties in Bute Inlet. This particular acreage is truly amazing in so many ways. Situated approximately 2/3rds the way up the inlet, this impressive 17.3-acre property has over 2,500 feet of spectacular shoreline and beach. The exposure is due south and the location provides great protection from the winter & spring outflow winds.
There are natural water sources on the property and the remains of an old homestead. One interesting benefit the acreage enjoys is the close proximity of a substantial logging road that actually crosses a corner of the property and will provide access throughout miles of uninhabited, rugged B.C. mainland to explore - something that outdoor enthusiasts of all types will appreciate.
There is easy beach access along the shoreline and the beach itself is a nice mix of rock outcrops and some very appealing expansive gravel and sand beaches - a very rare find on the rugged B.C. coast. The upland topography is extremely user-friendly for the region and the grade up towards the rear of the property from the extensive low-bank frontage is mixed - yet relatively moderate. The property is nicely treed and includes a reasonably large percentage of merchantable mature conifers and some very large alder.
Self-sufficiency with respect to establishing some essential requirements would be relatively easy in this location. There are three small streams/creeks that come down through the property - two are located towards the western end and one is located in the center of the acreage. They appear to be year-round sources of water for domestic consumption and to generate power, as well, the direct southern exposure will provide for an excellent source of solar power.
This pristine and remote location provides peaceful and beautiful surroundings unlike anywhere else on the coast. The region is abundant with a large variety of wildlife and the sea life is equally plentiful. Crab and prawns can be gathered right off shore and a neighboring creek just east of the property is home to resident Coho and sea-run Cutthroat. Although fin fishing is restricted in the immediate area - just south to the Orford River one can enjoy world-class Salmon fishing. Just north to the head of the inlet are the Homathco and Southgate rivers. Both of which provide world-class fishing for Cutthroat, Rainbow and Dolly Varden Trout as well as Steelhead.

Bute Inlet is situated in the southern region of the British Columbia mainland coast approximately 30 miles north of Campbell River on Vancouver Island. Campbell River is a full service community with a population of approx. 31,000 people that provides all of your transportation options as well as other required convenient and essential services.
