Discovery Passage and the entrance to Seymour Narrows
is breathtaking. You will experience constant natural
change, which includes the phenomenal tidal waters and
abundant local and migratory wildlife and marine mammals
such as killer whales. The regular flow and variety
of marine traffic including the magnificent cruise ships
that slowly slip through during slack tide. All the
way around this is quite a complete package that provides
you with comfort, space, convenience, amenities, low
maintenance and access to one of the most unique oceanfront
playgrounds on the Coast. |

World
renowned Seymour Narrows is a 5 km section of Discovery
Passage located between Quadra Island and Vancouver
Island reaching north up to Sonora Island, British Columbia.
This spectacular stretch of water is best known for
its incredible diverse beauty and wildlife, for its
strong tidal currents (sometimes reaching up to 15knots),
the world famous Ripple Rock and the subsequent largest
non-nuclear explosion in history. The Ripple Rock was
an underwater, twin-peaked mountain at the entrance
to Seymour Narrows - only 9 feet (3 meters) underwater
at low tide. It was a marine hazard that claimed the
lives of more than 110 seamen and reeked marine havoc,
sinking more than five large ships, more than one hundred
fishing boats, tugs, and yachts and damaging nineteen
more from 1875 - 1958. The first recorded casualty was
the Saranac, a 2,150-ton United States naval vessel.

The beautiful community of Campbell
River is located on the east coast of central Vancouver
Island between Strathcona Park, to the west, and the
Discovery Islands, to the east. It is a growing city
located on the frontier of BC's spectacular wilderness.
Renowned as the Salmon Capital of the World, Campbell
River is nestled in a region rich in natural resources,
scenic beauty and an incredible variety of wildlife.
One of the four main fishing centres on Vancouver
Island, the city is internationally famous for both
its ocean and freshwater fishing and the year-round
salmon fishing in Discovery Passage is unmatched.

the variety of outdoor activities this region has
to offer. Raw beauty and pristine wilderness less
