Port Harvey Marine Resort is located at the head of Port Harvey on East Cracroft Island, nicely situated in the Johnstone Strait region between the Discovery Islands and the Broughton Archipelago.

An elevated wooden walkway leads from the land to the marina facilities. The marina facilities are just south of the residence, separated by a portion of Crown Land for which there is a licence of occupation for access. The 5.4 acre property fronts the tidal oceanfront to the east.

The 1557sqft 2 bedroom home is a west coast chalet style residence, with a 270sqft loft. The living room extends across the front of the structure and has a high vaulted ceiling. A masonary chimney separates this area from the kitchen which extends across the back of the primary living area. There are two full bedrooms with two full bathrooms, one of which is an ensuite with a large soaker tub. Above the kitchen area is the upper level loft which could be used for a variety of purposes.

A patio deck extends across the front of the home overlooking Port Harvey and the marina facilities. At the rear entrance to the home there is an enclosed storage room.

The home was built in 1986 and is in reasonably good condition, however it could use a little updating.

Zoning on this property is A-1 (Rural).

The owners have utilized two sources of domestic water – a dug shallow well and a natural spring. Both of these are located in close proximity to the residence however are just off the property on Crown land.

Power is from a diesel generator with many of the appliances operating on propane. There is a septic system in place for waste water.

From here there is quick easy access to a vast outdoor playground that offers some of the best fishing, seafood gathering, kayaking, exploring and wildlife viewing on the coast. 

The location offers easy access to many of the south central coast’s popular boating and fishing areas such as Knight Inlet as well as the whale watching and adventure areas of the Broughton Archipelago. To the south are the Discovery Islands.

Close launching points on Vancouver Island would include Kelsey Bay or Port McNeill. Port McNeill is a good-sized community that offers a variety of supplies as well as convenient and essential services.
