Zeballos, 132 Maquinna Avenue

Zeballos, 132 Maquinna Avenue

This 1150sqft mobile home on a residential lot is located in the Village of Zeballos, on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The small coastal hamlet is located approximately 14 nautical miles from the open west coast Pacific Ocean and one of the premier fishing and recreational regions on Vancouver Island. It is 17 nautical miles from Tahsis, a small coastal community in the neighbouring inlet to the south.

This is a level lot, 0.17 acres, very close to the centre of Zeballos.

A covered side entry leads into the living space of this 1150sqft mobile home. The living room, kitchen and dining area all feature laminate flooring and there is a wood stove in the living room. The kitchen has two accesses, from the living room and the adjacent dining room. The kitchen has lots of cabinetry and good counter space with an extra extension for sitting or working at.

There are two carpeted bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master has a nicely appointed ensuite, with two sinks, lots of counter space, a step-in tub and a storage closet. There is an additional storage room and a laundry room.

The home has forced air heating with an oil furnace. It is connected to municipal water and BC Hydro electrical service.

This is a great consideration for someone looking for a drive-to fishing get-away on the west coast, or for someone looking to relocate to the west coast of the island.

Zeballos is on the west coast of Vancouver Island, accessed by road from Hwy 19 just north of Woss. This is a Forest Service gravel road and can be in varying condition throughout the year. The community of Zeballos first started with gold miners, and then became a logging hub. Now its biggest draw is tourism - as coastal explorers and fishermen come to visit the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island. There is both fresh water and salt water fishing, as the Zeballos River runs through town. The community has a population of approximately 100 and there are limited services, including a medical clinic, general store, marina and boat fuel sales. In the summer there are a number of accommodation options. Zeballos calls itself the Golden Gate to the West Coast. It offers access to Nootka Sound and the fishing on the west coast of the island, as well as the provincial parks of the northern Island (Woss, Brooks Peninsula, Cape Scott).
